Double Major Programme

Students admitted to the B.A. in Linguistics (4-year programme) may pursue one of the following double major programmes:

Students are required to complete a minimum of 90 units of courses as follows:

Explanatory Note:

LING courses at 2000 and above level as well as those labeled as # will be included in the calculation of Major GPA for honours classification.
Students may be required to participate in activities such as field trips and study tours that foster their learning of linguistics. Students are responsible for part of or all costs incurred in relation to these activities.
- [a] If the course is not taken to fulfill requirement 1(a), it may be taken as an elective course for fulfillment of requirement 3(a)(iii).
- [b] The course not taken to fulfill requirement 2(a) may be taken as a free elective course.
- [c] Students are required to take PSYC2010. Linguistics and Psychology Double Major Programme students who have taken any of the equivalent statistics courses including COMM3110,DOTE2011, ECON2121, GRMD2102, LING3403, PHPC2015, SEEM2430, SOCI2004, SPED2600, STAT2001 and 2006, STAT2101 and 2102 are exempted from taking PSYC2010, and they are required to take another PSYC course at 2000 or above listed under 3(b) Elective Courses to compensate for the units.
