Élisa Shua Dusapin — born to a French father and South Korean mother, and raised between Paris, Seoul, and Porrentruy — has quickly become an international literary figure.
Her debut novel, Winter in Sokcho, won major prizes including the National Book Award for Translated Literature (2021), and was later adapted for the stage and turned into a 2024 film by Koya Kamura.
She is also the author of Pachinko Balls (Swiss Literature Prize) and Vladivostok Circus (Femina Prize shortlist).
Her works have been translated into over 35 languages.
