Introduction
Mr. Bernd Esch obtained his Master’s degree in German and English studies from the University of Trier in Germany. He passed his first and second state examinations (teaching degree) for teachers of grammar schools in German and English from the University of Trier and University of Würzburg respectively. He worked as a Lecturer at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, South Korea, and taught German and German as a foreign language in Germany and Taiwan before joining CUHK in 2016. His research interests include second language acquisition and linguistic interference.
