Zihao Fu is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on large language models, natural language processing, and their interdisciplinary applications. Prior to this, Zihao was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford, and a Research Associate at the Language Technology Lab, University of Cambridge. He obtained his Ph.D. from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Zihao is particularly interested in the theoretical and practical challenges of large language models, including issues such as instability, repetition, and hallucination. His work seeks to bridge large language models and machine learning with theories and applications from the social sciences, including linguistics, cognitive science, and algorithmic fairness, with the goal of advancing both foundational understanding and real-world applications of language technologies.
