Introduction
Dr. Regine Lai received her Ph.D from the University of Delaware. Her research mainly addresses how humans learn their first language by examining—through the artificial language learning paradigm—whether there are specific, unconscious learning strategies employed by humans for sound patterns in language that are distinct from other general cognitive learning mechanisms.
