Chen Cheng is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Social Science of HKUST. Her research focuses on the foundation of human knowledge through the examination of object representations in early development. She is interested in understanding how infants, children and adults learn about the world. Our research focuses on understanding how objects and numbers are represented and computed with the support of fundamental cognitive systems such as working memory and attention.
